Become a member
In order to become a BergamoScienza Association member, you must submit a request to the association’s Board of Directors.
Send an email to info@bergamoscienza.it providing your name, address, contact information and reason for seeking membership.
Each prospective member must request admission and have the backing of at least two individual or institutional members. The Board of Directors approves new members.
New memberships begin on 1 January of the year in which the request is submitted. The member is required to pay a membership fee and make an annual donation.
For individuals, the membership fee is €200.00. For public and private institutions, the fee is €1,000.00.
Membership in the association is free from commitment and voluntary but members are required to respect the resolutions of its representative bodies, in accordance with the association’s statutes.
Being a member gives you the opportunity to actively participate in the association and its events.
All members who are 18 or older shall have the right to vote on any changes made to the statutes and regulations as well as appointments to the association’s governing bodies.
Memberships do not have fixed term limits.
Thanks to member support, science education programmes take place throughout the year at the BergamoScienceCenter.
Members’ highly beneficial contributions also ensure that schools, families and individuals never have to pay to participate in events.
Become a Volunteer
No matter how old you are, what your academic background is, or what your professional experience entails, the only real requirement for becoming a volunteer is curiosity. Behind the scenes of a major science festival, we need all kinds of talent. We’re looking for students eager to gain hands-on experience, professionals who want to put their skills to work for the community, and retirees looking to get back in the game. Bring your passion to the festival’s workshops, conferences, and performances. We firmly believe that dialogue between different generations is the spark that ignites true cultural exchange. Each person, with their own experiences and story, brings a unique and irreplaceable value.

Are you under 30? Join WeScience!
WeScience is a group of young volunteers founded in 2013 that promotes science outreach year-round through unique events held at the Fondazione BergamoScienza headquarters and throughout the city. They are responsible for creating interactive formats such as ScienceCinema, treasure hunts, Escape Rooms, themed months, career guidance events, science happy hours, and the Random Science Show, demonstrating that science can be experienced beyond the pages of a book.
During the Festival, WeScience coordinates the activities of occasional volunteers and actively participates with workshops and presentations. Throughout the year, the group is dedicated to promoting BergamoScienza, proposing new initiatives and content for future editions of the Festival.
Currently, the group has about thirty permanent members.
